The versatile Matala EZ Bio Filter can be used as a biomechanical pre-filter for circulation pumps, filtration pumps, and water fountain pumps. Pond pump pre-filters prevent flow reduction due to clogging. Use on all brands of mag drive submersible pumps that have barbed or threaded inlet to help extend pump life by reducing pump stress and damage.

  • Use on all brands of mag drive submersible pumps as well as small external pumps to prevent plugging
  • Made from durable Matala filter media for years of use
  • Can be connected to each other end to end for increased capacity
  • Dual filter media (green and blue) for complete mechanical and some biological filtration
  • 1", 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" hose tails included, fitting on filter is 1 1/2" female pipe thread
  • Maximum flow rate: 1900 GPH on BIO11 and 3400 GPH on BIO20
